1.
Dearest 04:15
The words that you once wrote to me found their way into my hands today. We share the same bloodline in our veins, the same thirst for rain, the same great disdain. Dearest Sister, I can feel the distance (in your words). I planned my escape in a cloud of smoke. If it's without you, I'm not going home. I'm a shell of a man, broken and bent - stuck with memories of a youth misspent. Now we're drifting together. And I'd beg for a bodybag, if it means a ride home. I know it's not right.
2.
I've known this sadness in my bones since I was young. The sadness rose through my body, the sadness filled my lungs. I tried to hide it, you caught me out under the sun. I tried to fight it, sadness won. I've known this sadness in my bones since I was young. The sadness rose through my body, the sadness filled my lungs. If I'm the static then you're the melody. Fading into the background, an extra in the scene. I'm so used to you. I guess I always knew. The sadness covered everything in front of me. The sadness flooded, spilled and polluted the seas. I watched it devour, I watched it destroy all the trees. It blocked the skyline, it's all I can see. So wash over me and make me clean. I'm ripping at the seams. A Dickensian birth, beneath dust and dirt. I'm bearing my worth. A bland, colourless mirth.
